It's funny and over the top, although it is definitely too over the top.

Think, Kingsman or Furious 7 but on drugs. I thought this movie was way too over the top. There's one scene where the Green Hornet and his sidekick are driving through a building with only half a car that has bullet holes all around it and they are also not getting shot through the car. Having over the top action is cool and all, but this film took it too the next level. I did think that this film was very funny though. Most of the comedy bits were really well done.

Another thing I like about this film is that it is a much different Seth Rogen comedy, unlike any other. This comedy took the pot and drinking jokes out of the film. This was relieving because as funny as it sometimes is, he always has pot jokes in his movies.

Overall I would recommend this film because it is pretty funny and cool. This film is OK for teens 13 and up because it has language and violence. Britt asks her out to a Chinese restuarant where you eat in the dark, saying every bite is like "an orgasm in your mouth. There are references to a a crystal meth and drug lab. Tim Burton falls into that category. The movie villain was played by Christoph Waltz, whose character was no less dumb than Seth Rogen's.

A bad choice for an actor who just won an Oscar for his brilliant role as Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds. What was his agent thinking? In all fairness, Waltz and his agent couldn't have known beforehand that The Green Hornet was going to be a sloppy script, and a sloppy execution. The super-hero wave is a big one at the movies these days, with one hit after the other, but they fail to remember other sloppy remakes of old radio heroes, such as The Shadow in starring Alec Baldwin, and The Legend of the Lone Ranger in in starring Klinton Spilsbury who??

The Green Hornet should have been a much more serious period movie set in the 30's about a man who is inspired to fight the mob in the fashion that his grand-uncle did as the Lone Ranger years earlier.
