I would propose you swap the armor and crit chance placement so the crit chance is with the weapon while the armor is with the helm. I think there should be sapphires and diamonds. Diamonds have the best, most global kinds of buff bonuses because they're the most precious gems. Diamonds are defense gems. I have no idea what maximums to put to these, but I think they could all be balanced so they were neither game breaking nor preferred over existing gems for "obvious build" choices.

User Info: szykny In response of gem plans dropping in act 2, I have gotten 2 perfect star ruby plans,flawless star topaz, and flawless star amethyst in my vault runs. Crafting gems is pointless. Crafting them costs roughly the same as it does buying them in the AH, and with the AH you don't have to waste items and resources to upgrade your Gem Crafter.
